Assessment: Usually the first time you meet someone they will ask lots of questions so they understand the big picture of what is going on for you.


If you are in crisis and need urgent help, there are people available to help.

If you are worried about how you are feeling and want to talk about your difficulties, go to your GP. They can decide which service is best suited to your needs.

Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 08457 90 90 90

The National Self-Harm Network provides advice to young people who self harm and their families, helpline is open from 7pm to 11pm 0800 622 6000

Childline has someone on the end of the phone if you want to talk about problems any time of day 0800 1111

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide medical help or health information, but it is not as serious as 999.
