Mindfulness, or mindful exercises, are ways of focussing attention in the present moment, on purpose and non judgementally. There is a growing evidence base for using mindfulness to treat a range of mental health issues and it has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as increase self awareness and wellbeing.

Your CAMHS worker might incorporate Mindfulness within other approaches to working with you as it is really helpful as a relaxation tool.
